This was my first web design project where I was responsible for creating the concept for an app from scratch. I decided to design a website that would help people find friends when going out to bars, as I noticed there wasn't a social app focused on meeting new people without it being a dating app. I used Figma to bring my idea to life, designing the interface, layout, and user flow to ensure the app was both intuitive and visually appealing. This project allowed me to combine creativity with practical design tools, and Figma was essential in helping me iterate and refine the concept. This was my first project using coding languages like HTML and CSS, and it helped me understand how to visualize and build components. I learned how to structure a webpage and apply styles effectively, which made the design feel more tangible. It also gave me insight into how small coding decisions affect the overall layout and user experience. Working on this project boosted my confidence in experimenting with different techniques and troubleshooting issues as they arose.
